Health Benefit

  • Prevent cancer and heart disease: Honey contains flavonoids antioxidants which help reduce the risk of some cancers and heart disease
  • Reduce ulcers and other gastrointestinal disorders: Recent research shows that honey treatment may help disorder such as ulcers and bacterial gastroenteritis.
  • Heal wound and burns: External application of honey has been shown to be as effective as conventional treatment with silver sulfadiazine that the drying effect of the simple sugars and honey’s antibacterial nature combine to create this effect
  • Honey is said to aid sleeping: The theory is that a spoonful of honey before sleep provides the body with enough glucose to “feed” the brain during the night. This prevents or limits the early morning release or cortisol and adrenalin (stress hormones) which disturb sleep. It also stabilizes blood sugar level and contributes to the release of melatonin, the hormone required for recovery and rebuild of body tissues during rest.
